Our “Boyacá colonial Villages” is a must that we want to recommend you to do at Colombitraveling. This shows a big part of our Colombian culture. Along these 5 days, you will hear the real history of this part of the country, your journey will be complemented with exciting activities, beautiful sceneries, gorgeous little colonial towns, amazing stories, and great food.

Day 1 Zipaquirá – Ráquira – Villa de Leyva
Today we will pick you up from your hotel around 08:30am to start with this great trip! We will ride to Zipaquirá, which is our first stop, it will take around 2 hours. Here we will have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral of Salt, one of the most representative icons of Boyacá, later, we will head in direction to the little village of Ráquira, well know because of its variety of local art and its nice arquitecture. We will spend the night in Villa de Leyva, we recommend you to take a good rest, keep in mind that you have a really active day awaiting for you tomorrow!
Day 2 Villa de Leyva:
Today was made for you to make your own plan, of course our guide will help you to put together an amazing day! Villa de Leyva has a a variety of options to offer, from museums, natural attractions and adventure activities. We recommend to check out places like: Pozos Azules, local winery farm, horseback rides to Gondava, you can choose to go rappelling, or rent a motorcycle to explore the city. Night at Villa de Leyva.
Day 3 Villa de Leyva – Paipa:
Today after breakfast we will continue our travels to the Paipa region, once we get here we will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the best natural hot springs of the country, after this relaxing day, we will spend the night in one of the local hotels.
Day 4 Paipa – Nobsa – Sogamoso – Lago de Tota – Paipa:
Today be prepare for a long but very exiting day. We will start early with breakfast and, immediately afterwards, we will drive to the winery farms in Punta Larga. After this quick visit we will arrive to Nobsa, where you can enjoy the art of locals and its beautiful woven garments. Later we will visit Sogamoso, another charming colonial town. Almost at the end of the afternoon we will be arriving to the biggest lagoon in the country, located over 3100 mts. Lago Tota is the best place to enjoy the taste of the Colombian paramo, after this we will return to Paipa where we will spend the night.
Day 5 Tunja – Puente de Boyacá – Bogota:
Almost finishing our journey! We will visit the beautiful villa of Tunja, which is the current capital of Boyacá, and once was the capital of Colombia. Later we will take our way back to Bogota, where we will drop you off at your hotel. END OF SERVICES.
