Day 1: Bogotá (No Meals)
Fly from home to Bogotá. Once you arrive, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel where you will have time to rest.

Day 2: Bogotá (B)
You will have breakfast in your hotel in the morning and departure for the tour at 9AM. Bogota is the capital of Colombia and has a lot of attractions to offer. You will be able to experience the contrast between the colonial and modern era and explore the ancient architecture of La Candelaria before a cable car will bring you on top of Monserrate. The next stop will be the Golden museum. (NOTE: It is closed on Mondays). You will be brought back to your hotel after that to enjoy your free afternoon.

Day 3: Bogotá-Salt Cathedral-Bogotá. (B-L)
You will have breakfast in your hotel in the morning and departure for Zipaquira at 9AM. To get there it will take approximately 1 hour. Here you´ll see one of the best things in Colombia: the Salt Cathedral which is an architectural and engineering master piece. You will have 2 hours to explore the cathedral before having lunch in the City Centre. An interesting walking tour around the main square will end the day before heading back to your hotel.

Day 4: Bogotá – Neiva – Tatacoa- Tierra Adentro. (B-D)
You will have breakfast at you hotel before getting transferred to the airport to fly to Neiva (Not included in this package. We suggest 08:30 Avianca flight). Once you arrive to Neiva, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to the Villa viaja, a small village right outside the Tatacoa desert. You will visit the Paleotological Museum and the Cuzco Trekking before heading to the arquelogical area at Tierradeentro, while crossing the Andes mountains and the Paez river. Arrival will be at San Andres de Pisimbala at the Lodge El Refugio (traditional B&B)

Day 5: Archaeological park Tierradentro – San Agustin (B-D)
You will have breakfast at your hotel before starting your tour to the national park of Tierradentro, an UNESCO Heritage site and exploring the “Hipogeos” with its colorous indigens paintings and pictures on the rocks. An informative visit to the anthropologic and archeologic museum will be the next stop. IMPORTANT The archaeological parks San Agustin, Isnos and Tierradentro will be closed every Tuesday and 25 of december and 1 of Jan. Trip to San Agustin Time of road: 07 hours

Day 6: Archaeological Park – Horse Riding (B-D)
Breakfast at your hotel in the morning before visiting San Augustin park, an UNESCO heritage site where you will see the Mesitas A, B, C y D, Ceremonial Font of Lavapatas and the statues forest and museum. In the afternoon you will have the choice between the following activities: Either a nice horse riding to Tablón and Chaquira and a great trekking to enjoy the Andes landscape or you could do a tour to the Magdalena river strait, spectacular rocky through where the river need to cross by 2, 20 mts width. IMPORTANT The archaeological parks San Agustin, Isnos and Tierradentro will be closed every Tuesday and 25 of december and 1 of Jan

Day 7. San Agustín – Popayán (B)
Through the imposing Colombian chain mountains and crossing the Andean landscapes we will stop at Valle de los Frailejones. It will take approximately 6 hours to Popayan while crossing small villages like Isnos, Paletará y Coconuco. Important: Upavid road like 30%. Road trip time: 06 hours Popayán is a Colonial city where famous writers poets and painters were born. We will have a walking tour around the colonial houses and church, the Humilladero bridge and Chiquito bridge.

Day 8: Popayán – Coffee Area (B-D).
We will head to the coffee area. By the end of the morning we will arrive at a coffee plantation where you will have time to explore the area. Road trip time: 06 hours

Day 9: Salento – Valle de Cocora (B-L-D)
We will first visit the Cocora valley where you will see wax palms that are the national trees of Colombia. We will hike for 2 hours and after lunch you will get the chance to plant a palm tree by yourself. The next stop will be a visit of a traditional coffee farm to learn more about the process of making Colombian coffee. By the end of the day we will walk through Salento streets, a traditional town with colorful balconies and a long commercial Street with loads of handicraft markets before heading back to the hotel.

Day 10: Coffee area – Jericó (Antioquia) (B)
Breakfast at your hotel in the morning and departure to the Antioquias Region which will take around 5 hours. We will visit Jerico which is locate in the middle of the coffee region and surrounded by mountains. A cable car will provide us with a better view before we start hiking. After check-in you will have free time to explore the area on your own.

Day 11: Jericó de Antioquía – Medellín (B)
After breakfast you will depart to Medellin which will approximately take 3 hours. In the afternoon we will have time to visit the Botero square and Metro Cable system. You will have the evening off to rest or to explore the area on your own.

Day 12: Medellín – Peñol – Guatapé – Medellín. (B-L)
From Medellin we will go to the lake area where 30% of electricity of Colombia is produced by hidro-electrics. Once in Guatape we will have a walking tour around the park and other places of interest in this colorful town. You will experience a typical lunch (included) before heading back to Medellin and having the night off.

Day 13: Medellín- Cartagena. (B)
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Medellin international airport. You will fly to Cartagena and being transferred to your Hotel. The rest of the day is free.

Day 14: Cartagena de Indias. (B)
Breakfast at hotel and morning walking tour around walled city (old city). We will visit the San Pedro Claver church and the San Diego Square before you wil get some free time for lunch. The city tour to San Felipe Castle and La Popa monastery starts at 3PM.

Day 15: Cartagena de Indias. (B)
Free day. You have the option to join the Rosario Island Beach day tour which is not included

Day 16: Cartagena – aeropuerto (B)
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Cartagena airport.
